Stratford Community Services' mission is to enhance the quality of life of Stratford's diverse community by providing clinical and social services, linking residents to resources, and planning and coordinating partnerships and initiatives. Core services include youth and family counseling, social services, child and youth development, substance abuse prevention, and advocacy. We are home to the South End Community Center and the Stratford Partnership for Youth and Families.
Our Commitment
SCS is a municipal agency committed to the positive, healthy development and well-being of Stratford residents, with a special emphasis on children, youth, and families. Stratford Community Services was first funded in 1972 as a community response to the problem of substance abuse. Today, it is both a planning and a coordinating agency along with providing direct services.
Youth Services
Stratford Community Services is the local Youth Service Bureau and works closely with the Stratford Partnership for Youth and Families to assess community needs, develop plans to meet those needs, and implement programs directly or in cooperation with other organizations. Stratford Community Services is a member of the Connecticut Youth Services Association.
Domestic/Family Services
The Center for Family Justice provides caring support, information and referral, crisis services and shelter for victims of domestic and sexual violence including child abuse. Click the link below for more information, including the Stratford satellite office.
