Message from Health Director

Our commitment to provide comprehensive public health services to Town residents is steadfast--even in these uncertain times of what will likely become our "new normal"...living and staying safe amidst our local experience of this global pandemic. There is evidence that our efforts are starting to "flatten the curve" (check out our data page). As we work on strategies to safely re-open Stratford, we urge EVERYONE to:

  • Practice SOCIAL DISTANCING (6 feet distancing)
  • Wear masks when you are in public (we protect each other)
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Stay home if you are ill

We're #InThisTogether and need ALL of us to do our part. We are about to embark on an active campaign to conduct contact tracing--calling people who have been in contact with those recently diagnosed with or have tested positive for COVID-19. Please help us create a "firewall" around the virus by answering our call or email. We hope to “connect the dots” and interrupt the transmission of the virus. We will be able to educate those who may have been exposed to be on the look out for signs and symptoms, how to get tested when warranted, and help reduce exposure to others, especially those with reduced ability to fight infections and other underlying conditions.

Our staff continues to respond to a wide range of concerns and issues, including your questions about COVID-19 (email us at [email protected]). Stay informed by signing up with the Mayor's daily email blast and by following us on social media where we share data, helpful infographics and important information.

Stay well & stay safe!

Andrea L. Boissevain, MPH
