Transgender Awareness:
Providing Education of the Transgender and Gender Diverse Population

She has her Masters in Social Work, is a community liaison for the Yale Gender Program and is also working at a private practice as a therapist and educator for the transgender/gender diverse community.
Jillian will explore topics and issues of developmental stages across the lifespan of the trans population. The audience will become familiar with basic language and terminology, and will develop a basic understanding of the transgender/gender diverse community.

This program is the first of its kind at The Baldwin Center and aligns with our goal of celebrating equity and diversity. Baldwin Center will be present to assist in facilitating discussion, as well as to ensure this remains a safe and open-minded space for learning and discussion.

“A JOURNEY”
MUSICAL ONE-WOMAN SHOW
Tuesday, June 27th @ 12:30pm
As we celebrate Juneteenth, we welcome Kimberly Wilson, award-winning creator and actor of “A JOURNEY” Musical One-Woman Show about the Black experience as told by a Black woman. In this powerful performance, seven women, whose lives span hundreds of years, tell their stories of faith, hope, and a sense of calling that truly has helped shape American History.

Love and truth form the foundation of this inspirational performance. The women featured in the show like Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks and more, had the courage to make their dreams a reality that not only elevated their own lives, but also helped lay the foundation for future generations. Through song, movement, and dialogue Kimberly brings these characters, their triumphs, and truths to life.

Each performance is immediately followed by an audience talkback.
