Welcome!
Welcome to the Town of Stratford Office of Economic and Community Development. Our office works to strengthen and improve the economic well-being of Stratford and in turn, the quality of life for our residents.
Since its founding, Stratford has grown both economically and in the amenities we offer. Stratford has a reputation of being family- friendly and pro-business. The Town hosts many events during the year through our Celebrate Stratford initiative, including the Summer Sunset Concert Series, Blues on the Beach and the Latin Music Festival to name a few. Stratford also boasts two public beaches, 18 miles of coastline, a par-3 golf course and 400+ acres of forest. With over 12,900,000 square feet of commercial, industrial, retail and office space, the Town of Stratford has a history of successful businesses within the community.
As the easternmost town in Fairfield County – and one of the most affordable -- Stratford is strategically located on the I-95 corridor, with a newly- completed full interchange at Exit 33. The Town is also in close proximity to Routes 8/25 and the Merritt Parkway, providing access to the entire northeast corridor. Stratford’s Metro North Train Station and the Sikorsky Memorial Airport add to Stratford’s uniquely convenient accessibility.
The presence of major UPS, FedEx and Amazon delivery hubs in Town further enhance Stratford’s distinction as an ideal town in which to do business.
Stratford supports a diverse, thriving and growing base of successful businesses, ranging from the iconic Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company that manufactures sophisticated helicopters for the military and commercial markets, to three award-winning craft beer breweries, to an abundance of family-owned legacy businesses, alongside a growing portfolio of entrepreneurial start- ups, all calling Stratford home.
We invite you to learn more about business opportunities in Stratford by contacting our office directly or by reviewing the Economic and Community Development page of Stratford’s main website.
