Welcome Connecticut Window Film & Tinting

What a great time welcoming Dave Silversey and his great team at Connecticut Window Film and Tinting to Stratford at their new location at 1895 Stratford Avenue!

Connecticut Window Film and Tinting recently relocated to Stratford from Milford. With 30 years of business experience, Connecticut Window Film and Tinting is the state's premier tint shop taking pride in quality work and customer service, specializing in architectural film, security film and automotive services. They received national recognition on CNN after installing security film to doors and windows at Sandy Hook Elementary school. Connecticut Window Film and Tinting are advocates of school safety and security.

In addition to the ribbon-cutting, Connecticut Window Film and Tinting hosted a grand opening/ car show on June 12th, 2022 – with AJ from 99.1 WPLR broadcasting live from the location and proceeds benefitting Make-A-Wish Connecticut.

Raymark Cleanup EPA Office Opened

With the Announcement of $23 million in remediation funding announced on June 2, 2022, Mayor Hoydick joined Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, U.S. EPA Deputy Administrator Janet McCabe, EPA New England Regional Administrator David Cash, CT DEEP Commissioner Katie Dykes, and Scott Acone of the Army Corps of Engineers, for an announcement of a $23 million commitment through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to ensure cleanup at the Raymark Superfund site.

Welcome to Reader's Block

We were pleased to finally get with Tondrea Mabins, owner of Reader’s Block  – she’s actually been here for a little while! Reader's Block is a Black-Woman owned indie bookshop located at 2420 Main Street, Suite 7 (Colonial Square Plaza in Stratford Center). They strive to bring a diverse atmosphere to the book community where bibliophiles can come to talk about books, culture and anything else that they feel they need to bring to the table. Please join me in welcoming Reader’s Block and wishing the best to Tondrea! Be sure to visit soon!
