Playground Camps
DATES: June 27th – August 11TH (no camp July 4TH)
TIMES: 8am – 3pm
AGES: Co-ed ages 5-12
COST: $75 for summer

Information:
A. Campers will be split into groups by age (5-7; 8-10; 11-12)
B. Free Lunch will be provided by Sodexo
C. This is not a licensed Day Camp. Camp is 1 counselor to 15 children
D. Trips off site- additional fee and separate sign up required. Ages 8 and older.
Trips include: Sports Center of Connecticut, Movies, Dave and Busters, Six Flags, Bowlero Milford.
E. Drop off and Pick up protocol will be the same:
• Children may be dropped off or picked up any time between 8am and 3pm. Pick up needs to be by a parent/guardian or person designated by the parent/guardian. Photo ID will be required at time of pick up.
Teen-Squad Camp
DATES: June 27th-August 5th
TIMES: 8am-3pm
AGES: Co-ed. Ages 12-15
COST: $75 for summer
Teens can hangout at our all NEW camp just for TEENS! Play video games, air hockey, Listen to music, go on the computer, hang out at the beach, play laser tag, shoot some hoops, go hiking at the forest and meet new friends at The Stratford Recreation’s Teen-Squad Camp!
• Camp will be held at Birdseye Complex. Each week there will be off-site trips. Each trip will be an additional fee. You will need to sign up separately for each trip. If you are not signed up for a trip there will be no camp that day. Trips include: Sports Center of Connecticut, Movies, Dave and Busters, Six Flags, Bowlero Milford. From sports to computers, gaming or hiking, this camp is great for all teens with various interests. This is not a licensed Day Camp.

Short beach golf academy Director of Camp: Peter Pulaski PGA. With over 35 years of golf teaching and coaching experience, Peter spent the last 27 years on the golf professional staff at Yale University. While at Yale, Peter directed Nike Junior Golf Camps and Yale golf programs for students and alumni. The 2007 Connecticut PGA Teacher of the Year has given private instruction to both top amateur and professional golfers.
The five- day program will include:
• Fundamental golf rules
• Golf course etiquette
• Short game instruction on putting and chipping
• Full swing instruction and video review
• Course management
• SBGA tee shirt

Fairfield County Tennis Camp
Each day of camp players are introduced to a different stroke of the day including the forehand, backhand, volley, and serve. This camp also offers an optional cross-training component to enhance players’ coordination and endurance. Off-court games include soccer, and dodge ball. Camp will be run by a certified adult instructor. Children should bring a nut-free snack from home each day. Beginner/Advanced Beginner Low Intermediate/Intermediate. Ratio 4 – 6 students per instructor.

Campers will create crazy concoctions daily that will make their hearts explode with passion for science! Mixing mysterious substances we will create fizzing elephant toothpaste, sticky putty, quick sand, squiggly worms, cool snow, and tons of booming explosions. |

Join us on our space adventure through the galaxy to infinity and beyond! Campers will experience the life of NASA astronaut’s journey before, during, and after a space mission! They will use real astronaut equipment such as memory metal, robots, and lasers plus create many spin off innovations like a mars shelter! Campers will create a comet from household experiments and experience what the atmosphere is like in space. Finally, they will witness a rocket launch that will blast out of this world! |
Archery Competition
This is to teach the students how a simple competition works. Barebow competition, 20yards, total of 36 arrows. The first 2 weeks will be practice, Competition is on the 3rd week. Anyone under 18 needs to have completed Archery beginner class or equivalent. Anyone over 18 who knows how to shoot can participate. Competition on June 26th will be 10am for all participants.

Youth will learn the fundamentals of individual events in track and field. Various throwing events, baton handling, jumping, and running events will be instructed.

Acting Improv Workshop
Join us as we learn to “not think” and to say “yes, and” – here you’ll be thrown into fun games and exercises to ease you into the art of improvisation. Before you know it, you will be performing scenes and learning to heighten and explore your ideas. This workshop is designed to help beginners improve their acting skills and foster spontaneity.
