Permit Renewals

The permit renewal paperwork will be attached to the renewal email and sent after December 15th annually.  Be sure to read the email and its attachments.  Failure to read the renewal email and its attachments grant no relief, waiver, or extension.

  1. Renewal emails will be sent after December 15th.

  2. Renewal begins on January 1st and ends on February 7th (or 4:30 PM on the last business day before February 7th).

  3.  If you email, mail, bring, or fax any documents to SRRP, you are opting to renew by mail/in person (MIP).

  4. No exception for travel, weekends, holidays, or postmarks.

  5. Online Renewals

    • Pre-renewal change requests - submitted in November and December before December 21st )are required to ensure that the most current information is on your now current and active permit that will expire on February 28th/29th.  Once submitted and approved, the new info becomes active on your now current and active permit. The current online renewal process results in a new permit ID from our vendor's permit system, which becomes active on 3/1 and expire in twelve months on the last day of February.  Upload all documents required to get your change request approved.  If additional uploads are required, you will be notified by email.

    • Must be submitted initially at https://stratfordct.cmrpay.com/permits/dashboard by February 1st, or the last business day before February 1st.

    • Online renewal paperwork – specifically your signed BKR - must be uploaded initially by February 1st.  If additional uploads are required, you will be notified by email.

    • Be sure to read the renewal email and its attachments, which will guide you through the process. 

    • Pre-renewal change requests - submitted in November & December before December 21st - should streamline the approval process for permit renewals.  Your signed BKR will be reviewed and should be quickly approved and issued. 

    • If you email, mail, bring, or fax any documents to SRRP, you are opting to renew by mail/in person (MIP).

  6. Mail/In-Person Renewals

    • Pre-renewal change requests - submitted in November and December before December 21st )are required to ensure that the most current information is on your now current and active permit that will expire on February 28th/29th.  Once submitted and approved, the new info becomes active on your now current and active permit.     • Must include the signed BKR.

    • Must include a check or money order for the MIP permit renewal fee.

    • Must include any document that shows expired (whited out box instead of a date) on the BKR.

      • current copy of the registration(s)

      • current copy of permit holder's driver license.

      • Hopefully these will be minimized during the pre-renewal change requests.

No extension due to incomplete, missing, or illegible paperwork. 

No extension due to unpaid tickets and incorrect payment amounts.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS OR OTHER CONTACT INFORMATION

  1. It is in no way the responsibility of SRRP to request updates of your contact information.

  2. Please report changes of any contact information – address, phone numbers, email addresses via email to railroad@townofstratford.com.

  3. Failure to do so may result in you not receiving parking information updates or notifications to renew your permit for the next period.

  4. Whatever the cause, a lack of response to the renewal notification by the specified deadlines will result in permit expiring at the end of February. You must add yourself to the waitlist and wait an unspecified length of time to receive a permit offer.

  5. Permit renewals and all other communications regarding permits are sent out only via email.
