As you are probably aware, many people have been concerned about increases in their motor vehicle tax bills. Although property taxes remained flat, some taxpayers will see increased assessments depending on the cars they drive.
Per the General Assembly, motor vehicle taxes are no longer based on market value, but the depreciated MSRP. MSRP = Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price. This entire process began in 2022, and the flyer provides more information.
