We are pleased to announce that Route 113 (Burma Road) has officially reopened today, October 10th. What could have been a year-long project was completed in just over four months — a remarkable accomplishment given the severity of the sinkhole and the complexity of the work required.
Our deepest gratitude goes to the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), the contractors, engineers, and designers who worked diligently and efficiently to restore this vital roadway.
We also extend our sincere thanks to our state legislators, local officials, and everyone who advocated to make this possible. Importantly, this work comes at no cost to the Town of Stratford, as Route 113 is a state road.
Finally, we want to thank the Lordship community for their patience and understanding throughout the repair process. Your cooperation and support have been invaluable.
