The Stratford Day Main Street Festival Returns Saturday, June 6th

 

STRATFORD, CT –   June 2, 2026 – Rain or shine, one of Stratford’s biggest community celebrations is almost here! The Stratford Day Main Street Festival returns on Saturday, June 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., transforming Main Street into a vibrant destination filled with family fun, local businesses, entertainment, food, and community spirit.

“Whether you're looking to shop, eat, stroll, or simply enjoy a day with family and friends, come check out the Stratford Day Main Street Festival this Saturday,” said Mayor Chess. “With nearly 300 vendors attending, the event offers something for everyone and is a fantastic way to connect with the community, discover new businesses, and enjoy live entertainment together.”

Presented by The Milford Bank and the Rotary Club of Stratford, the annual festival stretches along Main Street from Stratford Center to Stratford Avenue. It showcases everything that makes Stratford a great place to live, work, and visit.

Stratford Day brings together nearly 300 vendors, including local businesses, nonprofit organizations, artisans, food trucks, and community groups. The festival provides residents and visitors with the opportunity to discover local services, support small businesses, connect with community organizations, and enjoy a day of entertainment for all ages.

Festival highlights include:

  • Live DJ and street entertainment throughout the day

  • Magicians, balloon artists, stilt walkers, and roaming performers

  • Roaming railroad rides

  • Moon bounces and obstacle courses

  • Face painting and children's activities

  • Artisan showcases featuring handcrafted goods, jewelry, flowers, and more

  • Food and beverage vendors

  • Community organization exhibits

  • Home, health, and garden exhibitors

New for 2026, festivalgoers can participate in a colorful chalk art display. For those over 21, a beer garden area will be set up.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, as Main Street will be closed from Church Street to Stratford Avenue beginning at 7:00 a.m. on June 6 to accommodate festival activities.
